  1. Hello!
I am 48 years old, a former runner and VERY interested in race walking. I live in the Connecticut- New York area…

Do you know of groups in my area? Also, perhaps there are clinics in which I might learn the dynamics/stride of race walking.

Any advice you have would be appreciated! Suzy

  2. Hi – I would like to get some training in race walking. I’m a walker, but I want to learn how to rave walk. Is there a training or trainer near concord, ma whom I can work with? Or a group that meets to walk? Thanks! Alicia

  3. Dear Alicia, We will be having a training event in Groton MA, Sunday Oct. 16 at 9:30 am, starting on the rail trail off Station Ave. That would be ideal for you to attend.. At noon, we will be having the NEW Annual Meeting and potluck nearby at Pres. Ed O’Rourke’s house.. You are welcome to attend that for further conversation. Right now, there is no one in the Concord MA area who could help you. Thomas Knatt

  4. Hi, my name is Valentina, I live in Florida and I am professional race walker and I wish to take part in race walking competitions. But I’m still waiting green card. Am I allowed to take part in competitions?

  5. You may compete in competitions in the USA. As a foreign competitor, you would not be eligible to receive medals in USA National Championships, but anyone can compete in races as long as you pay the entry fee. You may contact Steven Vaitones at the USATF-NE office in Boston for more details. svaitones@usatfne.org 617-939-0992.

  6. I live in Lowell, Ma and am interested in racewalking as an alternative to running. Are there local groups/events?

  7. Dear Lizzie,
We have training events in Groton MA periodically. Since we just had one, I am not sure when the next one will be. Please feel free to join the New England Walkers email list for up to date info.

  8. I live in Concord, NH. I am looking for a clinic or others who will share more about race walking.
