How Do I Get There

  • From the Embassy Suites Boston Hotel: walk out the main entrance. You will see Satori Stadium, located less than 200 yards away.
  • By public transportation: Take the MBTA Blue Line to Airport Station. Head southwest and follow the signs for East Boston Memorial Park. You will see Satori Stadium, located less than 100 yards away.
  • By car from Boston and Route 93:
    1. Take the Callahan tunnel toward Logan Airport (Rt 1A) — you do NOT pay a toll. Stay to the right lane in the tunnel.
    2. Exit the tunnel in the right lane and take an immediate right at the “Local Exit.”
(You must take the LOCAL exit off the tunnel or you will be at the airport and driving in circles.)
    3. At Santarpio’s Pizza, go straight onto Porter Street (It’s actually a left and very quick right).
    4. Go over the bridge and take the first left at the lights. The park will be on your right.

If you are using a GPS, program the unit for 141 Porter Street, East Boston, MA 02128.

10. Patricia Godfrey W66 Cambridge Sports Union Winthrop MA 21:31.03

Judges included: Thomas Knatt, Steve Vaitones and Justin Kuo

The temperature was in the mid 70’s and overcast. Thanks to the cooler weather, thirteen year old, Nolan Allen took 53 seconds off his 2012 time. Three other race walkers bettered their 2012 time.

Thank you. — Justin

Steve V. says: VaVa’s time was a meet record, a NH HS 3000m record, and the fastest Youth girls 3000 time in New England since 1986 (Precious Hill, Waltham, split in USA national 5000m).

Also note – Nolan Allen’s time was a 30+ second PR from previous week, and possibly the fastest youth / HS time by a Mass. boy since the glory days of our 3rd place finisher while competing for the Lowell Boys Club.

Paris Colmar 2013

You should watch this really excellent 25 minute professional video about 2013 the Paris-Colmar race. It was 450K non-stop with the winner in about 54 hours and the last guy in 66 hours. It’s in French, but really worth watching.
