Last Sunday, Jason Cherng, representing the New England Walkers, handedly won the Men’s USATF 5km Race Walk Championships in Whiting, New Jersey.

Also representing New England were Maryanne Daniel of the CT Racewalkers (1st W65-69), and Ashlyn Poulin of the Main Race Walkers (3rd WU-20)

The Art Keay Memorial Racewalks (3k/5k/10k/20k), Sunday, May 29th

Anyone looking for a race in May, there’s The Art Keay Memorial Racewalks at Hanlan’s Point, Toronto Islands, on Sunday, May 29th. The course is totally flat and very fast—being on an Island, it is always cooler than the main land.

The 10 K Age-Graded, 5 K Non-championship, 3K and 20 K races are open to all. The 10 K Ontario Championship races are open to Athletics Ontario and provincial/state (FAQ, USATF) members. All 10 K and 20 K competitors who complete their races will be eligible for the 10 K Art Keay Memorial age-graded trophy.
