Here’s some info on the course that will be used for the WMA 10K and 20K race walks. The course is a 1,564 meter loop in William Land Park in Sacramento, CA. The 10K race walk, scheduled for Tuesday July 12, 2011 consists of 6 loops, plus 616 meters. The 20K race walk, scheduled for Saturday, July 16 consists of 12 loops, plus 1,232 meters.
The course was measured by Tom Knight and Joe Davis on June 23, 2011. These are the two USATF course certificates

Friday, Jul 8, 2011 – The USA Track & Field New England association received approval for use of Sartori Stadium in East Boston as the site of Can-Am Dual meet. The site is located in East Boston Park (adjacent to the stadium). The meet, scheduled for Sunday, August 14, 2011, will feature junior race walkers from Canada and the US. We expect 40 to 60 race walkers in three related events.
Although still in the planning stages, the proposed 5K course for junior women and 10K course for will start and finish on the 1km bicycle path. The walkers do not want to use the track inside the stadium. The race walks will finish on the bicycle path at shared finish line.
The numbered km balloons indicate the number of kilometers left before crossing the finish line. Competitors travel in a counter-clockwise direction on the bicycle loop.
