Gordon Indoor Track – Harvard University

This was the largest field of race walkers the GBTC Invitational has had in years — the highest quality, and the youngest average age as well.  Following the two races, Tom Eastler conducted an informative mini-clinic.

The temperature was in the mid 70’s and overcast. Thanks to the cooler weather, thirteen year old, Nolan Allen took 53 seconds off his 2012 time. Three other race walkers bettered their 2012 time.

Steve V. says: VaVa’s time was a meet record, a NH HS 3000m record, and the fastest Youth girls 3000 time in New England since 1986 (Precious Hill, Waltham, split in USA national 5000m).

Also note – Nolan Allen’s time was a 30+ second PR from previous week, and possibly the fastest youth / HS time by a Mass. boy since the glory days of our 3rd place finisher while competing for the Lowell Boys Club.
